It was fantastic. We were both absolutely buzzing after the consultation ended and kept walking around the room excitedly imagining how the mock ups that Barbara put together would come to life. We couldn’t wait to get started. Barbara used the 3d model to illustrate her ideas and this was vital to us understanding her vision. It helped us see why certain configurations would not work so we were 100% confident that the layout that we have now is the best for our room and how we want to use it.

The consultation has definitely given us more confidence. We would never have thought about lighting layouts and we now feel our space will feel high end and luxurious.

Barbara knows how to completely transform a space and she is able to visualise bespoke ideas clearly. We left our consultation with bespoke carpentry ideas, a bespoke lighting layout plan, a unique furniture layout, and a clear colour scheme direction.

Full Service Design FEEDBACK- CLIENT IN nORTH LONDON

We used Barbara’s end to end design service for 12 spaces in our home and adore the results! We finally have a haven that is a true reflection of who we are as a family and we are incredibly proud of our home. We both have extremely time consuming pressured jobs and wanted to spend any free time we had playing and having fun with our children so we didn’t have any time to dedicate to designing and project managing home renovation.

Barbara came in and completely took all the stress out of our hands. She took the time to get to know us as a family and presented schemes to us that we would immediately fall in love with. We could then sit back and watch the designs come to life. We didn’t need to lift a finger- no hours and hours of sourcing, Barbara purchased everything on our behalf and managed all the deliveries so we never needed to wait in, We didn’t need to manage any trades people and we felt confident and safe in Barbara’s hands. Barbara brought a wealth of knowledge to our designs and has the skill of collaborating with tradespeople to make sure the designs that we fell in love with, would be implemented perfectly. Any unforeseen issues were handled efficiently and our timeline was kept on track. Barbara communicated well throughout so we were always kept aware of progress which completely put our minds at ease. Our spaces simply went from paper to install.

This was definitely a luxury service for us but there was no way would have been able to pull it off ourselves. We would have wasted huge amounts of time and money trying! Thank you Barbara!

It exceeded my expectations! Barbara gave me so much advice and explained the reasons behind her decision making for everything. I walked away with a clear vision for my room that I could easily execute. Barbara gets to know you, she listens, she really understands what you are trying to achieve and she nails it. I now have a clear idea of the size and scale of all the furniture I need to purchase and what colours and materials to stick with. I have some clear boundaries to work within which is going to help me block out the huge amount of design noise out there!

It was a jam packed 2 hours filled with vital advice and tips and we tell all our friends that the consultation service is a must have investment on any interiors project that will save you time and money in the long run.

We have used Barbara’s consultation service 4 times for 4 different spaces in our home and after every consultation, we have come away feeling more confident. Without her ideas we would have made many costly mistakes along the way. Getting advice on the best layout for each of our spaces before we run off spending money on incorrect products has made this an absolutely priceless service for our family. She has such great skill in trying to really understand us and how we live so that her advice is completely bespoke to us. She is warm and gentle in her approach yet also extremely efficient and direct.

During our consultations we have gained advice on everything from window dressings, to wall colour combinations, to choosing fabrics for bespoke upholstery, to sourcing specific products, to designing bespoke carpentry, to lighting layouts.

We loved working with Barbara! The consultation was extremely detailed, Barbara was very well prepared and full of great ideas. We got what we were expecting and so much more. We were given suggestions for fabric, paint, colour scheme, tiles, carpentry and Barbara even talked us through the process of working with different trades- rough timescales and prices/ for our proposed work. It was very unexpected!

Barbara really grasped our rough ideas and desires for the space and brought it to life in such a clever way that we never would have considered. Such a clever use of space and exactly in keeping with our tastes. We now feel able to work back from the end goal and take smarter more cost effective steps along the way.

Barbara has the gift of thinking of clever and beautiful ways to use spaces. Her ideas blew us away. Her questionnaire is in depth and I feel that the time we took to give her as much detail as possible really paid off. We now have ideas and detailed drawings to take to our suppliers which we think will save us a lot of time and money. It was invaluable and the service is worth its weight in gold in terms of those the drawings we received and the specific product recommendations. Cant wait to work with Barbara again!

My experience using the consultation service was extremely informative and it gave me a totally different perspective to the room design. I had no idea what to do and was totally stumped with how to layout the space and make it feel cosy and a true reflection of me and my family. Barbara was extremely knowledgeable and creative and keen to make a space work best for its purpose.

After we tied down the furniture positionings we were able to layer on a lighting layout. We then went on to look at different examples of the furniture/ soft furnishings/ light fittings etc that barbara had in mind and were given links to fantastic supplier websites that we didn’t know before. Barbara suggested that we re upholster two armchairs that we thought we were going to throw out. She gave us links to fabric samples and gave us a rough idea of how much this would cost. It has saved us so much money as we would have had to buy 2 or more new pieces of furniture. Instead we get to maintain the character and uniqueness of our home instead of creating a one style fits all show home finish.

We were blown away with what we achieved in 2 hours. We sent Barbara accurate measurements and pictures before the consultation and she showed up fully informed and ready to go with our room already mocked up in 3D. She was able to ‘walk us through’ the model so we we felt like we really grasped how our space would feel.

We were hoping to gain a basic idea for bespoke carpentry bookshelf and Barbara delivered tenfold. Barbara mocked up bespoke bookcase ideas on the 3D model during our 2hrs together so we could have input in exactly how we would like it to function. When the consultation was over we were sent a pack of images taken from the 3d model that included rough measurements so we were able to take these drawings to our carpenter and have him price up the work. We would never have been able design something so bespoke and unique ourselves.
